About the Role
The Export Manager position reports directly to the Sales Director and plays a key role in the international expansion of the brand. This role does not include direct leadership responsibilities, as the internal sales team for domestic and international distribution is organized separately.
Responsibilities
- Strategic development of international sales with a focus on growth markets.
- Management and coordination of existing agencies, including:
- Austria/Switzerland (Agency Beutler)
- Russia
- Netherlands (currently Agency Martens)
- France (only for the brand Lecomte)
- Scandinavia (Thomas Weingarten)
- UK (no active revenue)
- Identifying new market opportunities and expanding export activities.
- Negotiation and optimization of the sales structure.
- Close collaboration with internal departments (Product, Purchasing, Marketing).
Requirements
- Proven experience in sales and export, ideally in the fashion/apparel sector.
- Industry knowledge in fashion & retail to effectively navigate market demands.
- Language skills: German and English are required, additional languages are an advantage.
- Hands-on mentality, entrepreneurial mindset, and strategic competence.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in market research & competitor analysis.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build strong partnerships in international markets.
